Melissa Emma has been practicing yoga steadily for almost 15 years and has recently completed the Sacred Rivers 200 hour yoga certification. Dance, aerobics, weight training, and martial arts are also part of her fitness background. Her classes aim to help the individual align, integrate, explore, and deepen through synchronizing breath and movement.
Classes begin with centering exercises and visualizations focused on breath and alignment, then flow through sequential yoga postures to build stamina and vitality, finally cooling down toward an essential resting posture. Precise alignment cues and modifications are given so that beginners can participate.
